Tank Site Preparations

For ease of delivery BuyATank recommend preparing your site according to the following recommendations. These recommendations apply to all our tanks regardless of the material used for construction.

• A base of flat level construction of deco (decomposed granite), crusher dust or concrete with nothing protruding through i.e., rocks, etc.

• Covering the base with black plastic sheeting to prevent the tank being undermined in the event of torrential rain. The black plastic sheeting is available upon request or at your local hardware store.

• A firm stable platform that must be of dimensions larger than the tank. Alternatively a properly constructed stand capable of carrying the weight of the tank when full, i.e. 1kg per litre.
